Bump Update 16 Weeks
16 weeks and feeling good! At about 14 and 1/2 weeks I was at the Dollar Store with Grahm and started to feel super warm, sick to my stomach and dizzy. I experienced this when I was pregnant with Grahm and immediately knew my blood sugar was low. I quickly took a granola bar out of my bag and started shoving it in my mouth as fast as I could. It helped but not right away and I was struggling to get through the check out line but I made it. I found a place to sit down for a bit and I started to feel a lot better after a while. Since then, I kept feeling a little dizzy and like I’ve been trying to catch my breath without doing anything crazy. At my 16 week appointment, I let the doctor know and she said these symptoms are normal. So normal that there’s a certain name for it. I seriously had no idea! She just advised to eat six small meals a day and keep drinking lots of water.
Grahm came with me for the first time to my 16 week appointment and it was fun to have my little buddy there. He kept asking if they were going to take the baby out. Haha! The doctor checked the baby’s heartbeat and Grahm was excited and surprised to hear it! Things sound great!
How far along are you? 16 weeks
Weight gain? about 7 pounds
Cravings? A greek salad with cucumbers, cherry tomatoes and feta cheese. YUM! :)
Things that make me sick? The smells are getting so much better. Nothing terrible right now.
Maternity Clothes? I went out and got another pair of maternity pants! I was curious though about a belly belt. If anyone has used one and liked it, I would love some insight on it!
Movement? Yes! Nothing as big as kicks, but flutters for sure!!
Gender? I’m still thinking a boy. When you ask Grahm if the baby is going to be a boy or a girl, he says a girl. Then you ask him what we should name the baby and he says Jesus……Yeah, I think that’s taken:)
Things your looking forward to? I’m looking forward to feeling the bigger movements and kicks! I can’t wait for that!
