Anne and Jared || Green Bay Engagement Photographer

Anne and Jared met on Jared’s first day of medical school when some of the 2nd year students invited the incoming M1 students out to one of the local bars. They chatted briefly and went their separate ways. Fast forward to January of Jared's first year, Anne threw a party at her house and Jared showed up and they started talking a little more. After that everything just kind of fell into place!

One of their most memorable early experiences in their relationship was when Anne agreed to accompany Jared to a friend’s property to help scout for turkeys. It was early spring, the weather was questionable, but she was on board nonetheless. They spent some time hiking around the property, hiking around a local park, and then found a great dive bar for dinner before spending the night in a tent.

Anne's beautiful engagement ring is a combination of two rings her grandmother very graciously gave to them. Anne loved the stone in one ring, and the band on the other. They found a local jewelry shop back in Anne’s hometown and by a stroke of luck the jewelers  were able to swap the stones without any major changes. Ring in hand, Jared waited until the time was right. That came in the form of a getaway weekend in Milwaukee, complete with a stay in a historic art hotel and a proposal atop the rooftop bar at the Pfister. In true Anne and Jared form, a few minutes after the proposal they spontaneously bought Milwaukee Bucks tickets and ended up going to the game (which started 30 minutes later) to celebrate.

The thing Jared loves most about Anne is her spirit. She will fight to the death for causes, people, and projects she believes in.

"She pushes me to be more informed and think about the world. She is kind to everyone she meets. She’s adventurous and spontaneous and is always up to try new things or experiences. She cares for me and about me and is a great listener. She is beautiful."

Thing Anne loves most about Jared is that he compliments her perfectly.

"He’s organized (I’m not) and goes out of his way to do the little things that can have a big impact on my day. He doesn’t stress over the details and is always willing to try new things, meet new people and travel to new places. He will watch reality TV with me and takes the best care of our dog Bella. He loves his family and is a hard worker. He is empathic, kind and supportive."

They both love to be outdoors and staying active. They like to hike, walk their dog Bella and practice yoga. They also enjoy trying new restaurants, craft beers, and enjoy cooking dinner together.

"We’re competitive – especially when it comes to bar and lawn games."

These two are so sweet together. I enjoyed capturing their relationship. I admired their patience and how they cared so well for one another.
