Nova's First Birthday! (Personal Post)

Nova Jean is one years old! I know time flies, but that seriously was the fastest year of my life. I blinked and my tiny baby was grown. It's been fast, but its been so much fun watching this little lady grow. She is so smart and so sweet. This is such a fun stage. There are a few things she does that I don't want to forget. Every time someone walks into a room, she joyfully will greet them with the cutest little "hi!" She loves to snuggle. When I'm putting her down for bed, she always lays her little head on my shoulder while I sing her a few songs. She will pat my back while I pat her bum to the beat and when I get to the part "and a kiss from me to you," she blows a kiss while her head is still resting on my shoulder. She loves music, loves to dance and its fun to see her start to pick up on things from songs. She adores Grahm and I'm pretty sure she thinks he just the coolest. He's the first thing she looks for when I get her our of bed. It's so cute. She takes his toys, or gets in his way, but he loves her and is a great help with her. I sure hope they will continue to grow and have a great relationship and be able to be there for one another when they need it.

I honestly probably could go on and on about the fun and cute things she does, but basically we can't imagine our lives without our little lady. She can be a bit of a baby monster, but she keeps us laughing and we love her so much! We had a fun day celebrating her! We went with a llama theme because that's pretty much been the theme since she was born. We decorated her room in llamas and cacti and so we keep it going. My friend works in a bakery and made the cutest llama cupcake cake. She included a little smash cake for Nova and from the way I've seen Nova eat, I was sure she would go to town on that cake. Not so much. First, we made her cry because we wouldn't let her touch the candle :) and then I think she was too full from dinner to enjoy her cake. She took a few good bites and then was done. We enjoyed celebrating our little lady and appreciate the love from friends and family she got that day!
