Thanksgiving is a great time and also can be a stressful time. We were so close getting through the preparations of our part of the meal with out tears, but it seems like it wouldn't be Thanksgiving without them:) It wasn't a huge breakdown and we improvised a bit to make things work.
We started the day off with the Macey's Day Parade that my niece was in this year. She was with her high school marching band and it was really fun to watch them perform! We made some yummy pies, and a few other things and then headed over to our friend's house. This year we had five couples and five kids with us. Grahm enjoyed playing with his besties and we loved being with our family of friends.
Everyone chipped in on the meal and it sure was tasty! Holy smokes did we have a feast! I think my favorite this year was the yams and the mashed potatoes. I also loved the kids table that was prepared for the littles. The table cloth was colorable and I just loved that! Haha. Today was a great day and we are so happy, lucky, grateful and blessed to have the friends we do, the families we belong to and so many more things!
Today marked 18 weeks of the bump. The baby is the about size of a bell pepper and is 5 1/2 inches long. There really isn't a ton that has changed but I'll go through the usual prompts just for fun.
How are along are you? 18 weeks
Weight gain? Before Thanksgiving dinner: about 7 pounds,
After Thanksgiving dinner: I don't dare look
Cravings? Lately I have been into limes. Probably not the best thing for da belly, but I love eating a lime wedge, especially with some Diet Coke.
Things that make you sick? Nothing too crazy right now. Some smells will get to me but it's not as consistent anymore. Cold season is upon us though and Grahm was so sweet to share his cold with me. So I'm trying to get over that.
Maternity Clothes? I feel like I'm constantly on the hunt for some good maternity clothes. I am looking for a belly band. Something that I can use so I can wear my regular pants as long as I can.
Movement? Just some flutters here and there.
Gender? Still thinking it's a boy
Things you're looking forward to? Next week we find out the gender! The day after Grahm and I fly out to Utah for a much needed visit!
